Spanish airports authority Aena is set to invite bids for construction project of the new terminal of Barcelona airport

The cost of the new 200,000 sqm building will be 8 million euros
AENA‘s Board of Directors has approved the bidding for the construction project of the satellite building at Barcelona’s airport, designed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura, with a total cost of 8 million euros, and a period of execution of 10 months.

According to AENA, the purpose of the bidding is the preparation of the construction project of the satellite building and complementary facilities, designed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura.

The new satellite building of 200,000 sqm will include arrival and departure piers, waiting and retail areas, and the hall of the station for the automated people-mover.

The project includes the construction of boarding bridges and service and evacuation passages.
