The Architecture of the cities

1995
Inhospitable, ugly and deteriorated, cities today encourage uncertainty and uneasiness.
Which are the deep causes of these problems? Where is the solution? How to recuperate the beauty in the city and therefore a real urbanity?

Now that short term politics proliferate, Ricardo Bofill and Nicolas Veron offers in this book a general view of the city and promote the idea of the beauty of cities at the service of the citizens.

Ricardo Bofill, architect, founder of the Taller de Arquitectura in Barcelona, he is the author of many prominent buildings in Madrid, Barcelona, Montpellier and the French “New Cities” (“Nouvelles Villes”). He is also the author of the book “Space of a Lifetime” published at Tusquets Editores.

Nicolas Veron, former student of the École Polytechnique, graduated as engineer at Corps des Mines (France)
