Architectural design is teamwork. It is a symphonic composition. A veritable orchestra, the team brings together several soloists, each one of whom is a virtuoso in his or her field, and is guided by its director, whose job it is to shape the general movement and be in charge of creating the harmony.
All of the work done by the Taller de Arquitectura is designed and carried out with this spirit: teamwork comparable to a highly-skilled operation, capable of designing and carrying out a project anywhere in the world.
The design of objects, furniture or materials, homes and offices, theatres, universities, airports and other facilities, and ultimately, the design of the city, demands a complex and sophisticated organization: beyond the concept of the project, it is also necessary to be able to build a suitable legal and economic framework for each of these.

My role in the Taller? Once again, it is that of the director of an orchestra who provides the impetus and order for the team. I have to establish the development strategy of the firm, define the working framework, coordinate the overall operation, implement and correct projects, and supervise the works under construction. My role, in the end, is to create a working atmosphere based on emulation, discipline and respect among all the members of the team.
