El Ancon

2003, Marbella, Spain
A complex of 100 luxury tourist apartments right beside the sea between Puerto Banus and Marbella. The first impression, indeed the image that inspired the project, is that of boats run aground on the beach, an image enhanced by the depth and the spacious terraces of the apartments. Another image might be that of a big garden beside the sea and, in the background, the apartments, which thanks to the blinds and the dense vegetation of climbing vines suggest the form of a pergola.
Individual apartment surface area: 180 m2/terrace surface area: 24 m2

surface area of reception, spa, gym and assembly room: 7,000 m2
car park area: 1,400 m2
total apartment surface area: 18,000 m2
