Consisting of two low-rise square buildings located at the northeast and southwest corner of the site respectively, and a covered street linking both structures, the scheme generates a vast esplanade towards the Seine that could accommodate a variety of social and cultural events. This major cultural infrastructure will house, on one side, the Contemporary Library containing multimedia documents, and on the other side, the Research Library and the Catalogue Room.
